On Friday six children from our class and our teachers Mrs Bidois and Mrs Humphries, went to visit Manaia Kindergarden. We went to give them a copy of the book and PowerPoint we had made about coming to our school. We had a cool time there, having our morning tea, dancing, playing with the children and listening to stories. Thank you Tania, Bev, Dee and all the children at the Kindy, for making our visit such fun.

First day back in Term 4

On our first day back we had our usual Monday assembly with Mrs Ogle, our Principal welcoming us back. We are looking forward to all the exciting things that will be happening this term. Next week some of us have 3 way conferences where we share the work we have done in term 3. We have taken our portfolios home to share with our families.

School Production

On the 23rd and 24th of September our whole school put on a production called 'Kiwiana'. Our part was the 'Buzzy Bee' party. We had to dress up in our best party clothes. The older children from Room 2 helped at our party, one of them played Buzzy Bee and they also dressed up as party food, we had cup cakes and Cheerios, jelly, pineapple lumps and a big bottle of tomato sauce. We sang happy birthday in Maori and we danced and said some words out loud to the audience. It was a bit scary but everyone thought we were awesome. The other classes were awesome too.

Our School

Our school is in a beautiful place.
We can see Mount Manaia above us. Out of the windows on one side of our classroom, we can see Whangarei harbour, the oil refinery, Mount Aubrey, trees and birds, especially tui's. We can also see vegetables growing in the new gardens at the back of our classroom. The adventure playground, is out of the other windows, also the playing field, the senior classes, and the court where we ride our scooters and skateboards.
Let us know if your school is on the side of a mountain or overlooks a harbour.
